There isn’t one person who can say they have not thought about living in the place they are traveling in. There are plenty of places across the world that are popular travel destinations as well as wonderful hometowns. Let’s take a look at some of those cities.

NYC, New York

To first-time travelers, the Big Apple is intimidating. The constant hustle and bustle of the city, bright flashing lights consuming all hours of the night, widely regarded streets, and high cost of living may stop you from ever seriously considering moving to this city. However, the unmatched cultural experience, the powerful networking opportunities, and the fast-paced lifestyle can easily entice anyone to live there.

Sydney, Australia

Sydney is Australia’s biggest economic center, making it the main contributor to the country in areas of trading, finance, and distribution. In addition, Sydney is an important financial center to the Pacific Island area. The associated opportunities of living in this city are great, but there is more to Sydney. Sydney also offers great access to great nature sites, ocean fronts, diversity, and entertainment options.

Astana, Kazakhstan

When you have an economy based off a strong oil supply, there is a lot of money put into the economic development of that place. Development of Astana means a constantly evolving city, continuous job creation, slowly forming stability, and great improvements to the citizen life (especially due to the newly strong Kazakhstan Democracy).

Toronto, Canada

If you’re enticed by an American lifestyle, but don’t want to live there, then Toronto is a great place. Canada is more than just a colder America. It has a unique culture, great health care, stable economy, and beautiful sites to see year-round.

There are some things you just can’t plan for in life, and family tragedy is one of those things. Sometimes children get sick or grandparents pass away, and you just have to drop everything and go.

The problem is that, in difficult economic times, it can be difficult to save enough for that “rainy day.” Thankfully, there are some wonderful options that mean you don’t have to shove money under your mattress just to be safe.

If the worst does happen, there are options. You don’t have to go to a bank to get personal installment loans, and often a quick search online will give you the result you need.

A loan will help soften the blow of what can be a significant outlay to get to your family across the state or the country. Many organizations are built with exactly the purpose of helping people who only need a small amount of cash. They offer simple and achievable repayment schedules that are easy to meet.

Some companies also understand that family tragedy doesn’t just happen once, and you may need to tend to your family more than once before everything settles down. Look for a company that offers a discount for repeat customers on their personal installment loans. The last thing you want is to get turned away by your loan company when you need it most, just because you’ve borrowed from them before.

When a family tragedy strikes and you don’t have a plan, don’t panic. There are people who are there to help if you need them.

While some people merely use their vacation as an excuse to have a fling, don’t dismiss the possibilities of meeting that special someone while you are away from home. Here are some tips to help you find a partner while you’re out exploring the wider world.

Try new things – Sometimes, a person can get stuck in a rut in their own home. A vacation is the perfect opportunity to step outside that rut, to stretch your horizons, to go outside your comfort zone. Who knows. It’s possible that’s where the love of life has been waiting all along.

Strike up conversations with strangers – While it’s not advisable to strike up a conversation with all the strangers you meet while traveling, consider talking with some of them. Maybe say hello to the friendly guy who gave you directions to the Parthenon. Ask him for other ideas of things to see. Chat up that girl who is also looking at the famous painting. See what her thoughts are on it. Even if it doesn’t end in love, at least you’ve had a little practice in conversation that might come in useful on your eventual first date.

Consider using an online dating site, even one based outside your home country – Depending on how long you are going to be traveling, you might consider using an online dating site like parship. While the serendipity of meeting in person can be fun, online dating can give you a more systematic, reliable means of meeting someone special.

Being on vacation can expose you to many new acquaintances, and there is always the chance that one of these people will ignite a spark – but only if you cultivate the flame.

Is it not amazing that restaurant and hotel owners in popular tourist spots know how to divide the year into peak and non-peak season in precise terms? You will always notice that hotel owners and other tourist agencies will ignore a few months of a year and would not classify it in either category. Well, does this mean that this gap of three or four months is not worth visiting?

Those who have vacationed a lot will advise you that landing in the middle of the peak season or in the middle of the slack season is never a wise move. Making travel arrangements will be very difficult due to excessive demand or sheer lack of demand in the tourist destination. You will either be overcharged or you will get very poor quality service for the money that you pay.

The right time is to land at that point where the service providers are either preparing for the peak season or the slack season. When you land at the beginning of the slack season, the service providers would have lost all interest in catering to their clients properly. However, if you land up just before the slack season begins, you will discover that the service providers are keen on extending their profits and are prepared to walk that extra mile to keep you happy.

This simple trick will help you avoid the crowds and yet enjoy all the attractions that the holiday destination may have to offer. Apart from weather conditions which are beyond your control, you should never rely on such advice which divides the best time to visit into good and bad.

When flying, it’s next to impossible to avoid getting hit with additional fees–from fuel surcharges to alcoholic beverages. This is most apparent when it comes time to load your luggage. Whether you plan on carrying or checking your bag, airlines have numerous specifications that your luggage must meet, and failure to do so results in costly charges. Such baggage fees can range from a standard $15 to over $50. But when you plan ahead and pack efficiently, you can keep these fees to a minimum, or avoid them all together.

The traditional way to avoid baggage fees is to carry-on your bag, but charges for checking luggage has more and more flyers bringing their bags on board. Thus, airlines are very scrupulous about what makes it into the cabin. To bypass fees on your carry-on plan ahead. For instance, when booking your flight, consider the middle seat since it typically has the most room underneath; perfect for a duffel bag or small suitcase. Also, find out the dimensions of your airline’s carry-on bag limits and pack accordingly.

Most airlines will charge you a standard baggage fee for checking your luggage. However, review airline exemptions as some will check one bag for free for all first- and business-class fliers. Packing is also important for checked bags because of weight limits–usually 50 pounds–that can lead to more baggage fees. A helpful way to avoid going over the weight limit is to use a small bag so that you don’t over pack, and one that is light and won’t add more weight.
